In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I have three Olde English mix bulldog puppies remaining.

Desmond = red brindle male with white markings, heavy wrinkles.
Getz = big fawn brindle male.
Ella = red female with white markings.

All are super friendly, have been around plenty of other dogs, talk sass to cats on the other side of the fence but are humble around cats in the house. Their mother and older sister are bed dogs. Both parents on site. Pictures and more info at www.erikasbackyard.com or write and I can send you pics.

Hi, Erika

I purchased Moni from you in April 06, I really wanted to express my frustration with you. My dog that i love so dearly has had nothing but problem since her first birthday, and it turns out all her problems are hereditary. Hip problems, thyroid problems, skin allergies and i could go on. I am frustrated because you guaranteed no major health problems, I guess you intended to say within the first 48 hours. Her did not show up until a year later. I as a concerned dog lover I really suggest you not breed any more pups and sell for the outrageous price of 600.00. Because once individuals get the pups home more then the value of the pup is put into medical expenses. I am sure there are others out there dealing with the same situation i am. If so please express your concerns. So as i close just want to say thanks alot for bring in my pup into this world of suffering.

Miss Kare

thank you for the info -

I kept one of the puppies from that litter, and can honestly say she has none of the issues you mention with Moni. So I am surprised. I cannot speak to the thyroid problems or hip problems other than to assure you that her mother will not be bred again, even though I believe the problems to have come from the sire's side. I have had other, unrelated dogs who had allergy issues - this has always been food-related, and Purina One Sensitive has been the answer in every case. The best news is that they have all outgrown it by 18-24 months. I certainly hope Moni will do the same. There is little I can do 18 months later except thank you for letting me know, even at this late date. I will report it also to the owner of the stud dog - I know my bitch's parents and sibs, and there have been no such problems on the dam's side - so I'm guessing they are likely on the sire's side. I'm disappointed, as I understand you are. Thank you again for letting me know.

I went to look at the health history of the parents, just to make sure that these are not 'backyard breeder' dogs. I was seeking vet records, hip and eye paperwork, etc. I saw nothing.

How are you attributing hip problems to food allergies?

A $600 mixed breed where a sibling has severe medical problems is not something anyone needs. It is sad that the OP fell in love with a puppy only to have bought into this many problems.

the puppies are long gone. I have never found any way to remove the original posting to reflect this. Please read more carefully and you will see that nobody is connecting hip problems and allergies. I specifically separated them in my reply. I have no puppies and that bitch will not be bred again.

Are you doing hip and eye evaluations on all your breedings? Do you feed Purina or the premium foods? Are you breeding because of a program to improve the breed?
