    In short, DON'T! Email notices are to ONLY alert you of a reply to your private message or your ad on this site. Replying to the email just wastes your time as it goes NOWHERE, and probably pisses off the person you thought you replied to when they think you just ignored them. So instead of complaining to me about your messages not being replied to from this site via email, please READ that email notice that plainly states what you need to do in order to reply to who you are trying to converse with.

    Yeah, I know. They are a pain in the butt. But they pay the bills to keep my server running. Just a fact of life, I am afraid.

    Want to get rid of them? Simple. Just become a Contributor level member or above and they will be gone. -> Please click HERE."

    Is that too much for me to ask of you to keep this site running? Well, sorry about that. I too wish I could get everything for free. But alas.....

    =====================

    Google Adsense ad revenue for December, 2025 was just $30 over the cost of the lease for the server running this site. So, in effect, the money providing the incentive for me to continue running this site is coming SOLELY from the paid memberships and sponsorships here. Which honestly ain't much....

I see many ads looking for a good home for their animal. I am a Science Teacher and I love animals and especially snakes. My classroom is full, I am not looking to get any free animals, what I am saying is if you have one you are trying to find a good home for. Call you local school, maybe introduce some youngsters to the joy of keeping herps, it makes a real difference in my class, I have connected to many students through my collection, that I may not have if they weren't here. Try it!!!

My sons science class raised a couple of my corn snake hatchlings last year, and it was a great experience for all. A couple of those kids have ince acquired herps of their own.....it's a great way to start out young herpers (as well as teach the parents that they aren't all scary and yucky, lol).

Nice post, William. :)

Yep yep good post William :thumbsup:

I have donated to the schools in my area plus go once a year to the schools with animals so the kids can get up close and see what they really are. It's a great experience.
Also, check the local libraries as well.

I have had many offers in the past from some of the members of this forum! The word is out on me in the community, and I receive calls of all sorts on unwanted or found exotics.

Many of my students have developed a love of the hobby, and a few have spread the “itch” to mom and dad, and now are working on impressive collections.

Good work William. :thumbsup:

One of my 7th grade science teachers first got me interested in snakes.

Unfortunately I would have to wait some years before actually keeping them. Now I'm making up for that with gusto.

Was at a pet store the other day and a middle school teacher and 3 kids were in there selling the store beardies. I guess they bread them every year along with geckos.

We had some beardies going here for a while, we didn't sell the offspring, we gave them to my students who brought a parent, and who could convince me they would provide proper care. Will probably do the same with normal ball males we produce this year. Lets hope there are not many of those!!
