Been out of the loop for a few months working on my other lifestyle and remembered hearing something a few months back about having to register and obtain a license for my Nile Monitors as well as a few other species. I know it's probably on here somewhere but can anyone save me the trouble of digging through posts to find it? State of Florida and Michigan.

VRC License. The permits for non commercial venomous reptiles and "Reptiles of Concern*" are now one and the same. It's free for hobbyists, just fill out an application and a silly question and answer type test to prove you know what you're doing with the animals.

Burmese
Amethystine
Reticulated
African Rock
Nile Monitor
Green Anaconda

This is only for keeping. There may be other requirements for exhibition or selling.

Hey,

If you plan on selling them, or have a class 3 already to sell reptiles the permit is $100. If you already have a vrl for venomous you can have the vrc attached for free now, and then next time it will be all one permit.

thanks

Lucky, I've been getting a nasty run-around from NY about all this.
