what's the silliest/most unusual snake bite you've had?

Last night while feeding my adults I wasn't paying too much attention to who's drawer I was opening. I have a miami female with a serious attitude problem just lying in wait for something like this. I open her drawer, turn away to grab her dinner, and *wham* she tags me under the chin...didn't hurt, but suprised the hell out of me.

I also have a honduran who finally got over his "chew on mom" stage...even with freshly washed hands, he loved to latch on to me and chomp away for a couple of minutes.

I also have a cat that loves shoes and stinky feet, and another that has conversations at all hours...I'd love to know what the hell I did to get such silly animals

Hey Nicole,

First thing first....how apropiate/cool is "Lady Chaos" as a screen name for a RAIDER fan? LOL....and consider yourself lucky you keep Colubrids!!....a nasty boa or python bite can suck the life outta your day right quick!....and picking their teeth out afterward is always fun too....I once got bit by two boas at once.... I stuck my hand in to grab one and that sucker bit me and held on tight, and without thinking I stuck my other hand in the tank to try and remove him, that's when, his over protective mate, gave me a good, hard strike on my other hand!....still have the scars from both!
As far as what you did/do to keep getting silly animals.....that's what we call a "straight" line.....with a set up like that, do you know how many jokes I wanted to respond with? LOL.....but I got nuthin' but RAIDER love for ya!!!....I'll save all my good jokes and insults for the Denver Donkey, K.C. Queef, and S.D. Dolt fans....the mediocre jokes and insults wil be good enough for the Cowpie fans!! LOL
Another thing?....forget what the cat likes and wash those stinky feet!! LMAO
    One last thing...........GO RAIDERS!!!!

yeah, I had a 8 ft burm decide that my hand looked yummy once...and here my friend is wondering why her snake was mean...she was feeding the poor thing 1 rat a month because some nut at Petco told her that's all he needed. Took us 15 minutes to get the bastige pried off...no teeth left behind in my hand though. I was nice and treated him to a couple of g-pigs after that fiasco.

As for my foot fetish cat...well, she's a calico - they're all weird

Well, none of my snakes are terribly nippy but this last Wednesday when I went to feed my baby corn snakes my male was feeling particularily hungry and decided I wasn't fast enough dropping his pinky so he grabbed my pinkie instead! LOL I was just standing there looking at him laughing and thinking to myself "Wrong pinky you twit." He let go after a few minutes and I gave him the pinky he had really been wanting, I just thought it was funny. And of course being a 12" long baby no damage was done to my finger, his pinky is another story

I have already discussed the problems I was having with an adult cal king elsewhere on this forum, but one of the times it bit me, it grabed me on the end of one of my fingers, went into a wrap and I'll swear if I had not made it turn loose it would have eat my finger!

Another "wild" animal animal I have is an 01 CB female albino calking. I had to nurse it back to health this winter when it stopped eating. Now it thinks it is a Cobra. It will strike repeatedly anytime I open its box and will continue to strike the sides everytime I walk by. I was going to get rid of it, but it is a beautiful snake and I want to see how it is going to turn out.

i've got some strange ones:

African Rock python: I was holding a rock python that was coiled around my left arm. He's about 7 ft. I was just standing there reading something on the wall when he bit me in the right arm. Fair enough i thought, maybe I scared him with my arm. Just as soon as he released my right arm he bit me in the left arm, the arm he was coiled on! I then decided to put the snake back in his cage. I had nasty identical shape bite marks on each arm. These were the only times this snake ever bit me.

Albino Burmese python: I was feeding a 10.5ft male albino burmese python in a large trash can one day. This snake is the sweetest snake I have ever met in my life. I had frosted two massive rats and gave them to him which he promptly ate. After giving him a while to rest, I opened the trash can to put the snake back in his cage. As i crack open the top of the trash can the snake lunges out of the trash can at me. I jumped back, and the snake got a mouthful of my t-shirt. This rather large snake is now stuck to my shirt by his teeth and cannot work himself loose and I'm still in a state of shock as adrenaline is pulsing through my veins. Just at this moment, one of my coworkers (who is not a big fan of reptiles) rounds the corner, looks at me, then the snake, then back at me, remarks "well thats not good", and turns and walks away.

Green tree python: I recently acquired a wild caught green tree python. Ironically this is the most docile snake I own. However, in the wild this snake must have been a bird eater. I was sitting and watching tv one day with the snake on my left han. She was coiled around with her head hanging down. I reached my hand out to pick up the remote, about two feet away from the snake(which is only three feet long), and she manages to tag me.

Kingsnakes: I had two kingsnakes, a cal king and a florida king, that were rather docile animals. However, every time you would walk by there cages they would strike at the side. If you opened the top and picked them up even after they were striking at the side, they would be as sweet as can be.

One more and I'm finished I swear
yellow lab (dog): My dog gets along very well with my snakes. Even up to my biggest boa, she will approach them and sniff etc. However anytime my baby black throat monitor is out...she will do nearly anything to get away from it. Its funny to see her sniff a 6ft boa but run from a 1ft lizard.
