Food Storage Question

A lot of food meant for storage is stored in #10 cans. I saw some basics such as wheat and oats that were being sold by the case in #10 cans. Do you know if the canning process of these dried grains does anything to help prevent the growth of weevils and other bugs inside the can?

I don't really know. I just put mine that I grow in a bag and they last a long time. Maybe I am eating weevils and just don't know it
