Piedmont Reptiles in High Point is the only reptile specialty shop that I know of in NC.
Richard doesn't carry much in the way of supplies as I remember but he usually has a fair number of reptile species to offer, and he's a good guy to deal with.
I haven't been down there in 10 months or so and his shop has moved since then so I'm not sure exactly where in High Point he is now.

i saw this thread when it was originally on the BOI and i guess rich moved it while i was responding. i thought it was deleted so i just forgot about it. i had a lengthy reply typed out about stores in charlotte. there are NO speciality stores, but there are stores that carry products and pets for many animals. i urge you NOT to support PET PROS in pineville. i have gone in there and the first few times, everything was fine. but lately, their entire reptile section (up to 25 snakes plus lizards, etc..) have been covered in mites. normally, i don't look that close, but i saw an albino burm that i thought was a paradox albino b/c it had so many mites on it. i then began to look around and they were everywhere. i actually came home and didn't enter my place, instead, i went to a friends house and took a shower and washed my clothes b/c i was scared i had mites all over me and didn't want to introduce them into my collection. the last time i went there, i saw 2 boas covered in mites that looked like this click here. that's a sign of IBD... and THEY HAVE MITES!!! i commented about that to the store manager and he just blew me off. i will never go back in there.
but, i do frequent a pet store named "last place on earth" on north tryon near the university. james is a fairly knowledgable guy who cares about his animals. he doesn't keep too much stock as far as reptiles go, but like any good pet store, he can get you what you want. just thought i would put my .02 about this. like i said, i had more written the last time, but your thread was moved and i thought it was deleted, so i just forgot about it.
