Does anyone know any good spots to go herping in south florida?

I have visited Florida many times, and when I visit I like to go field collecting or observing. I have herped many of the side roads off of the Alligator Alley. (I think that is what it is called - a major east/west road across southern Florida.) I might also suggest renting a canoe, and that you herp the glades where permissable.
