Enclosure: Outdoor housing whenever possible is the best way to go. Females of this species get pretty big, 12"-15" so take that into consideration when choosing a setup. My adults are in 18" deep water with lots of land area. Hatchlings are maintained in cement mixing tubs with about 3" of water and lots of plants to hide and hang on to. They handle cold pretty well.
Diet: Feeding on Zoomed hatchling pellets and exo terra pellets. I use Mazuri freshwater aquatic turtle pellets for juveniles and adults with treats of aquatic snails, water lettuce and Omegaone turtle pellets. They also relish worms and pillbugs.

I breed a few species of turtles and tortoises with a focus on Asian species. I offer captive bred hatchlings to others with the hope of getting them started with healthy well started animals so they will have a good experience and will enjoy the hobby and hopefully down the road will help with chelonian conservation.
