2 Temp Sexed Western Hermann's Tortoises (TUSCANY, ITALY)
I'm going through each locale and offering up many of the hold backs for 2018 to get ready for some new projects.
This is an 0.2 temperature sexed pair of western Hermann's tortoises (Testudo hermanni hermanni). Born right here, these were produced by our Eastern Tuscany group.
Eastern Tuscan specimens are known for their oblong to egg shaped carapace and beautiful rich yellow-orange coloration. High contrast and extreme vibrance are classic for them. These babies clearly demonstrate that and are already just stunning.
They are average between 5 and 6.75" for adults.
This locale is extremely cold tolerant and we have left them outdoors year round here in South Jersey.
The parents are genetically tested with absolute purity.
These babies are between 61 and 89 days of age, have at least doubled in size since hatching and weigh 23 and 22 grams. They are flawless in every way.
Get them now before the cold weather intensifies and these will be the last of this locale for 2018.
Exact babies are pictured below as well as a photo of one of the mothers.
