I have a B&W tegu (I think) and I just got him. he is still relly small and I was wondering do the B&W tegus look slightly goldish when there about to shed?

I would say that you have a Colombian gold tegu. They will all turn dull when the time gets close to shed. If you could post some pictures, I will try to identify him for you.
