NOTE: With temperatures being high in most places I recommend that the box be held for pickup at your nearest FedEx Ship Center.
Species: Greek tortoises, like many Testudo species, are perfect due to their size and their adaptability to most places here in the U.S. There are many subspecies and not all of them handle the cool temperatures well like the T.Graeca. Ibera does. These do well outdoors year round in the valley here in Northern CA and also at higher elevations as long as they don't get wet during hibernation.
Enclosure: Outdoor housing when possible is the way to go. These tortoises love to graze and worship the sun. A cold hardy species that I hibernate outdoors in a dry area that is filled with straw (not hay).
Diet: The hatchlings are feeding on a variety of weeds, grape leaves, mulberry leaves, cactus pads, rose petals and get Mazuri once a week.
What to expect: I am happy to answer any questions you have, before and after the transaction is over. The most important thing for me is that my hatchlings get a good home so if you are new to the hobby then I am happy to help you with every aspect of their care.
