View Full Version : How many do I feed my Ribbon Snake?

Just wondering how many rosey's (fish) i should feed my ribbon snake each week. I tried feeding him guppies for a month (he didn't like them obviously) and finially got rosey's and he LOVES them. I'm just wondering how much is too much? :)

With my ribbons its usually about 5 a week, some times they only take 3 though.

I just got 4 ribbons last weekend. On wed. I put 11 rosey's in the water bowl and they were gone in less than a hour. Unfortunatlly I didn't see who got what. There seems to be conflicting info. on the safty of feeding fish to garters and ribbons, which seems kinda odd to me concidering that these snakes are typically found around lakes.
