Royal digital scale. Up to 3 pounds with grams/ounces/pounds display and tare function.
$19.96 at Walmart.

This works great for weighing hatchlings, yearlings, etc.

I tried searching for it on Wal Mart's web site and couldn't find it. Are they called something else besides a digital scale?

And for the small snake owners, "My Weigh MX-200", max 200g sensitive 0.1g.
I have this scale for over two years now and it has performed very good. I did some research before purchasing it due to the cheap sounding company name. All reviews I found at the time concluded that it was a good scale.
Here is where I bought mine, FAST shipping!

Target carries a kitchen scale model that goes up to 11 pounds in .01 oz or 1 gram increments. It's only 25 bucks. I use a similar model that they don't appear to carry anymore, I think it was even cheaper than that. It's a good scale--you can set bins on it, and accurately weigh even the biggest females, and the smallest hatchlings.

Harbor Freight Tools has one for $14.99 with a coupon every few months, otherwise, it's only $19.99. There is one down the street from me and it works fgreat. Has the Tare to put a bowl on set to 0 and get a proper wight in oz. grams, or lbs. It only goes to 11 lbs. though. Hope it helps! Oh they also have infrared thermoeters for 25. Just point and shoot and get the temp. It's laser too.

I think the best place to buy a scale is Ebay. That is where I got mine. Check it out.

They cost a bit more, but if you're looking for one to last you awhile (not saying the others won't) you might check out Pelouze scales. I bought one from Staples 12 years ago and it gets used six days a week weighing hundreds of packages per week and then snakes on the weekends. It's still going strong and has cost me about three dollars a year now.

I got a scale from Harbor Frieght too and it's been great for at least a year. I think it weighs in lbs, ounces and grams, up to 7.4lbs and takes AA batteries or the supplied AC adapter. It's also wide and flat so real stable. I paid $15 I believe.

Check out Old Will Knott scales online. Great prices and services. My experience with "My Weigh" scales are they are cheap and inaccurate. Jennings scales are a super bargain and very accurate. I would rank Ohaus a close behind Jennings for price, accuracy, and dependability.

I ordered one on Amazon for $12.95 and I really like it. It's called WeighMax and it weighs up to 5,000g/11 lb. Here's a link if anyone wants to check it out: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B001M5NPP4/ref=mp_s_a_1_23?qid=1436870655&sr=8-23&pi=AC_SX110_SY165_QL70&keywords=gram+scale+5000g

My only complaint is that the bowl is a little small, but you can set a larger bowl in the smaller bowl and tare it to weigh bigger snakes (like our 2500 Gs). The picture on Amazon is also not accurate for the bowl size, unless those are miniature bananas and kumquats in the bowl ;).
