Hello,

I got a lot of those ichneumons flying continuously around my cedars in Sherbrooke, Quebec (near the Vermont borders). Is it possible to know its species? First I thought it was Megarhyssa atrata lineata but I'm really not sure when you look at the reddish abdomen, the colors of the legs and of the head. Any idea???

Here are links to the pictures:

Hello John,

I think you are right! This is not an ichneumon and they are all female I think. Anybody has an idea about the family?

Thank you in advance,

Michel
