I just re-read through the BOI rules, and there is NO RULE authorizing infractions for "borderline" abuse. This is the only abuse or "name-calling" related rule:
This is what I replied to the Mod:
The title of that rule is "OVERLY ABUSIVE toward another member." Notice the emphasis on "overly". I was in no way, shape, or form "overly abusive". I did not use profanity. I did not say "Michael is a douchebag". I said the seller that destroyed my collection was a douchebag, and Michael is just like him. How is that even remotely overly abusive? The BOI rule specifically states that civility is NOT required, and I was FAR from a "totally flaming jackass". That infraction you gave me is not within the guidelines set forth by Rich or the BOI and thus is unjustified.
Since I can't add a new visitor message at this moment, and don't want to fail to address this when your account access is restored, I'm going to respond here:
If you had looked at the announcement section at the top of the BOI, you would have seen a thread entitled Please check the FEEDBACK FORUM for help!. Had you bothered to read that announcement, you would have seen the statement that "perhaps something has changed here that you are not aware of, PLEASE check the Feedback Forum in the Admin Area of this site. That is where I will be posting information". Stuck at the top of THAT forum, is a thread entitled, Updates to the infraction system. The first post in that thread is a list of the original infractions (included for the explanations provided), PLUS the current list. The third post is WebSlave's statement about the name calling and derogatory terms.
You wandering back and not considering that things might have changed does not exempt you from the rules.
I guess you chose to remedy that by carrying on about it in your visitor messages and putting that term in your user profile
