Mangshan pitvipers Protobothrops (Zhaoermia) mangshanensis
 

I thought some of you may be interested in this Chinese documentary on Mangshan vipers. Its about the effects of the 2008 heavy winter weather on this species. You can also get a picture of the ineffectiveness and complete lack of competence of the conservation efforts surrounding this important species.

I enjoyed the video until the narrator mentioned them finding a frozen Boa!

The picture was of a Burmese Python. On the other hand, that could be used to show those idiots that believe the southern US will be invaded by Burms from the Everglades.

Sounds like they have a lot to learn about these fantastic vipers.
