I read somewhere this turtle is endangered... Does anyone know for sure and would i be able to own one?

Well I know they are no longer being imported to the US , CITIES II I believe...

Great animals , very intelligent . I regret selling mine not too long ago , just plain cool.

You are correct that they are listed as CITES Appendix II.
