Big Catch! Mega-Python Nabbed in Florida

A 14-foot-long African rock python is caught in the Everglades.
Watch this video and listen to the crap the news people are saying. Here is the link.

I actually sent ABC an e-mail. Here is what I said:

I stumbled on the special entitled, "Big Catch. 14 foot African Rock Python." I've watched this video 5 times now and each time, I lose more respect for the anchors and ABC, as a collective whole.

The end comments by your employees stating that, "this snake could EASILY eat us, both, in one gulp." Seriously? ABC is perpetuating snake related fears and putting the notion that these snakes are some sort of monster that have the ability to swallow people whole. 100% ridiculous

I understand that my e-mail does absolutely nothing but I feel better, having voiced my opinion.

Anymore, the amount of ammunition that the opposition has accumulated against us, is seeming astronomical. However, anything I can do to fight back, I feel I have done - met with little lead-way but none the less, I am doing what I can.

Sorry, MODS, for the double post.

That video just fuels the governments fire to ban these snakes everywhere. That comment "for their sake I hope that thing is dead" like really? I don't understand...yeah it's a big snake so what? You don't see people in Africa cowering in fear of these things, they just know to avoid the pointy end and keep moving. I think they should give their anchors a lesson in the REAL dangers of snakes, which are that if kept correctly there are no dangers. I forget who said this but whoever it was embedded it in my mind for life "100% of snake bites are caused by human error" therefore the snake isn't dangerous it's just scared we are endangering ourselves when we mess with it. Just my 2 cents.

Wow that is ridiculous! The story that is.

 Way to be informed ABC.

Bad part is that the same ignorance of the anchors it's the same of the majority of population, and then the so called experts only makes it worst, (monster quest, by history channel).
