You're right Bill. They do not. The uninformed clerk working the counter will tell you that it's guaranteed overnight, however the people that actually handle the packages, will see it marked as a "Live Animal" and it will be kicked to 2-days, as they are kept in a climate controlled container and not sent overnight. If he ships tomorrow, that dragon will be in transit until Tuesday or Wednesday with the holiday on Monday.

Ole Stevie probably has specially made, 136 hour heat packs though so it will be alright!!

leftycrane 02-15-2012 07:42 PM

Good job Rich, thank you for taking out the trash. Unfortunately it seems that Sonia will probably get a dead dragon in a box. This whole thing was just very unfortunate and unnecessary.

Lucille 02-15-2012 07:48 PM

I am hoping the best for the poor dragon. As for Steven, I don't think he has yet realized the extent to which he has dug himself a hole. When eventually, future prospective employers check out this thread and say to themselves 'maybe not', it might start dawning on him that his irresponsibilities are going to have consequences for him.

That wasn't me that banned him. He got "el kabonged" by John. I'm hoping Steven gives us a good reason to extend his vacation for a LOT longer. I just do not feel that he will fit in well with what we want out of the people who engage in this reptile business.

Just to put a Face to the name.

Draco11 02-15-2012 08:14 PM

I just hope he survives, and I can get him back to health, If I get a dead dragon, It's sad but will be on him he should send it tues

Jackp308 02-15-2012 08:26 PM

So you're waiting for him to send it USPS on Tuesday and you agreed to that? If you care about your dragon so much I don't think id agree to have it returned USPS.

Oops, my mistake! It was April who did the honors here..... Sorry..... :o

ballpython584 02-15-2012 08:34 PM

As far as future employers go, don't think ol' Stevie has to worry as he is going to hang off mommas apron strings as long as he can.

He would never make it in the real world!!

Draco11 02-15-2012 08:47 PM

No he said they'd send it to fedex, which would send him to the post office and I would recieve him on friday

reptilebaby 02-15-2012 08:49 PM

Dang, I hope that dragon survives. :( I don't let anyone ship ANYTHING through the post office in the winter. :( I hope so much that he'll make it safely home to you!

Draco11 02-15-2012 08:53 PM

I hope so to, the dragon never deserved any of this

Draco11 02-15-2012 09:04 PM

I tried to have him ship it out ups or fed ex, but he didn't want to loose his $
I hope he arrives saftly, on friday

Draco11 02-15-2012 09:14 PM

I tried to get him to ship later too, but honestly there's not much you can do about it when the other party dosn't agree and say's the poast office, said I'd get it by friday after 12pm

Susan S. 02-15-2012 09:43 PM

I can't believe no one has mentioned that it is a [b]federal offense[/B} to ship live animals through the US postal service. Steven is getting deeper in doo-doo here!

Sonia, can't you arrange a return shipping with your account?

Draco11 02-15-2012 09:45 PM

I'll try that

Incorrect.

USPS does allow the shipment of certain live animals but guarantees nothing.

Draco11 02-15-2012 10:03 PM

I sent Steven a return shipping label that will send the dragon back to me

Draco11 02-15-2012 10:04 PM

(By FedEx)

Susan S. 02-15-2012 10:15 PM

Good job Sonia, that sounds much better.

As for Steven:
Quote:

This goes out to susan and every body LOOK NOW BITCHES YOU ALL CAN GO TO HELL AND BURN.. HERE THE PROOF THAT I AM SENDING IT OUT WHEN I GET MONEY SO GO TO HELL
......isn't it interesting how Steven acts when he he is really telling
us the truth? He almost seems indignant that we don't believe him!!!!
It's kinda like what Tom said...."like a little 12 year-old"
Whaaaaa...whaaaa...whaaa!

Draco11 02-15-2012 10:24 PM

You said it Susan, Just hope he uses the label, it wouldn't be good for anything else

Susan S. 02-15-2012 10:27 PM

One more thing I think of when I know it is Steven Miller arranging this shipping......Steven can print that label from his printer and then say it did
not print (it asks you if the label printed). He can then cancel the label and pay no money, but still be able to show us that
nice label he scanned ......but have NO intention of shipping the dragon.

Another reason I am glad to hear Sonia say she is providing a return label.

AbsoluteApril 02-15-2012 10:29 PM

sending him a FedEx label was a good move, I hope the dragon shows up safe and sound!

*high five*

Draco11 02-15-2012 10:30 PM

Hope he proves he's going to send the dragon, He won't answer my calls or text's now

Draco11 02-15-2012 11:12 PM

Talked to him and he say's he'll use my label to ship him out  hopeing I get him and will post pics of him after the dragon arrives and is warming up in a new cage for him (His old cage is now occupied)

Christina Vincent 02-16-2012 07:35 AM

Oh my what a thread. I hope Lance gets back safe. Poor guy. Someone needs to report him for the fraud on the Ball and nail this guy on something. He has suffered no consequences (besides our Fauna admin thank you guys for takin no BS!) So I think he's just gonna move on to the next seller... ;-( Draco- it sucks he tried to scam you. This thread showed me how useful the BOI can be for the sellers as well and while I am new to the site and learning all the lil great things, I do know researchin a buyer to some extent, like checkin the BOI is a great effin idea.

I'm sure a lot of people looked at this statement and disregarded it...but it HAS happened. I can think of a few people that have contacted me that were experiencing this difficulty because of old threads here that were found in a routine search (so these things can come back to haunt people years later).

This is absolutely true. I've gotten several emails from people who have complained that a BOI thread on them has cost them jobs when their prospective bosses looked them up on Google during the interview process. Seeing what they saw of the history of that applicant, they declined to hire them. And yes, they asked (sometimes DEMANDED) that I take down those threads. Which, of course, I refused. Which I will ALWAYS do.

So yes, people engaging in scams and defrauding people in what they might believe to be just a minor inconsequential segment of society can have far reaching consequences to their future in it's entirety. They might not like the only bed available to sleep in that they have made for themselves, but that was their choice to make.

Draco11 02-16-2012 06:48 PM

Shipped out

Well the dragon was picked up ( Steven's mom payed extra for a pick up of the dragon). FedEx picked up the dragon around 4 Fl. time, and should arrive by 10:30am tomorrow morning. I called Debbie at reptiles express to conferm it also. And the dragon is on his way.

So if All goes well and he arrives pics will be posted of the dragon after he arrives and is warming up in his tank. And Will take him to the Vet as soon as I can. And, have a poop sample for them.:)

reptilebaby 02-16-2012 07:08 PM

Oh, I'm so glad he's coming home to you!!!

Draco11 02-16-2012 07:11 PM

Yes very anxious to get him back:yesnod:

DiamondDen 02-16-2012 07:32 PM

Draco11 02-16-2012 07:55 PM

Thanks :) He'll be staying with me for all the poor guy has been through. Needs a lot of caring and love. plus some meds I do have albon and panacure from Beautifuldragons, but to be safe Gonna take him to the vet and get him clean.
