Mediterranean Gecko
 
Here are some pictures of Hemidactylus turcicus (Mediterranean Gecko) that I took infront of my wife's parents home in South Louisiana the other night. This gecko is an introduced species. No species of gecko exist naturally in Louisiana, but these guys thrive. You could look on the wall of any house in the neighborhood and spot 4-5 of them. They are most likely the result of ports in New Orleans and first appeared around 1945.
