Anti-gun blather in the local newspaper
Quote:
Connie read this this morning and she showed it to me. She was already hinting about dropping our subscription to the Tallahassee Democrat (she was thinking that maybe the coupons made it worthwhile keeping), but this was the last straw. We just do not want to use our money to help pay the salaries for these people who write this sort of blather. |
in a place where guns are outlawed, only outlaws have guns.

There have been 774 comments made on that article, of which about 99 percent are calling Gerald Ensley an idiot. And yet you will hear anti-gunners proclaiming time and time again that they represent a majority of the American public.
I emailed their parent company (Gannett) and told them I was cancelling my subscription to the Tallahassee Democrat because of their staff's obvious attempts at subverting my constitutional rights. I presume they got the message because we did not have the paper delivered this morning. Good riddance. I can't count the number of times I have fumed over the idiotic stuff they would write in that mullet wrapper they call a "news" paper. They would even quote articles from other publications all over the USA just to post some flaming liberal BS they evidently support. |
I don't think it is a random article.
The gummint appointed an 'Ebola czar' who is a politician not a medical person. All of a sudden news about Ebola was nonexistent. Here, this article is anti gun. I do not think either the timing or content are accidental, and I believe that instead of fighting inconvenient free speech, those who have a stake in information content are simply supplying what they want read and having what they don't want read removed by 'czars'. I am encouraged by the 774 comments. I think that when there were more jobs, money, and opportunity, it might have been easier to sell the American people bs. But now that people look around and see more expensive food, more laws, more control, less privacy, less money, fewer jobs, it isn't so easy for those who wish to do so, to paint their picture of the world and have us believe it. Thank you, 774. |
At least the writer was honest and admitted that the Second Amendment would have to be repealed before a gun ban could be passed. I don't forsee that happening any time soon.

In other news
Call for Knife Control http://eaglerising.com/11653/liberal...FPdUit9BltR.99 It had to happen. We’ve been told for decades that gun control has curtailed violence in Great Britain. With no guns around, people who are intent on doing harm are using knives. So, of course, there is now the call for knife control. Quote:

Sheesh.... Even a three inch knife slashed across someone's throat is going to deliver a fatal strike. And I'll tell you what, hit someone square in the throat with a forceful rap with your knuckles and they are going to go down for the count. Permanently without immediate medical aid. It doesn't take very much to crush a windpipe. So yeah, let's outlaw knuckles too, while we are at it.
And the scary thing is that these people don't have the slightest clue about how insane their rantings sound. You just cannot rubber baby buggy bumper the entire world. You know, this is all leading up eventually to have it proposed to have it mandatory that everyone take their happy pill every day to try to eliminate violent tendencies. Basically chemically lobotomize everyone (of course, our "leaders" and designated enforcers of the law will be exempt), for our own good. |

 Now this is really funny. The Tallahassee Democrat deleted my comment I placed this morning about my subscription cancellation obviously having been accepted since I did not get a newspaper this morning. So much about their professed stance concerning the First Amendment. I guess that only applies to people who are willing to align lock step with their own views. Which, to be honest, is not at all a surprise. |
