So what do you think about this website?

Afghan Geckos

Just thought it would be an interesting discussion.

I dont' know what to think about that site...I know it pops up on the forums occasionally...but there is just so much crap on the internet its really hard to tell what's real and what's not....there is no evidence on the website backing up what they claim at all...they have pictures of a few geckos that could have come from anywhere.

ShannanD25 02-04-2005 09:55 AM

I think it is interesting about the different subspecies but that is all I find to my liking. Those pictured could not be wild caughts, or "naturally occuring"...

groovygeckos 02-04-2005 10:38 AM

huh

that angramainyu looks like a patty or maybe a PA to me . the one that says is the largest subspecies , looks like quite a few Giant het Albinos ive seen too . interesting site . i do think alot of the Leos that alot of us own now are hybrids or dare i say "mutts" lol

FreakOfNature66 02-04-2005 01:53 PM

YOU said that forsaken word. Calling them mutts. it soooo horrible. Yeah well they arent really claiming anything so I dont see what they are hurting. As long as they took those pictures and didnt steal them. IMHO I dont think they have done anything wrong. I dont even see any animals for sale even though they say "Sorry - we do not supply or ship the animals listed on our site !" I dont see any animals listed. Oh well there are lots of sites like that. I just hope someone who doesnt know much sees that and gets the wrong impression.

Golden Gate Geckos 02-04-2005 02:21 PM

well...

I'm not so sure that the geckos pictured ont that website are 'wild caught'. They look too domesticated! LOL!!! But, I do think this website is legitimate: LEOPARD GECKOS OF THE WORLD

TheHypoGecko 02-04-2005 05:33 PM

Wow, that Hardwickii supspecies on that site looks very interesting.
