UVB Meters
 

I've just begun researching UVB meters and so far it appears the best option is a $250 one designed for this hobby. Yet there are a lot of bargain meters out there that may or may not work. What meters do you use and are we stuck with a $250 investment at this point? I realize money should not be the priority when it comes to animal welfare and that one gets what they pay for in quality and function. But with the speed of technology and how that often relates to lower costs I'm hoping some new meters are on the market that can help a guy save a buck.

It seems the short uninvolved answer is the cheaper meters read in milliwatts and the expensive ones read in microwatts. Since UVB bulbs transmit in the microwatt range the bargain meters are useless for measuring them. If I find an affordable microwatt meter I'll update this.
