She has the appearance of a female that is within a couple weeks of giving birth, even though she isn't. Thats either a very large ovulation or she is a bit over weight in my opinion.

I wasn't going to say anything in the prior thread but I agree with Jeremy, that boa looks overweight or that is the biggest, largest ovulation I have ever seen. Her tail doesn't look overly fatty so I wasn't sure if it really was just overweight or not. Typically the swelling is centered in the back part but her entire body looks super thick. Gravid boas don't usually start looking huge until about 1/2 way through gestation. But who knows, I've been wrong before.
:D

Male boas court, courtship can last anywhere from a couple hours to 2 or more months. The female will have a pre-ovulation swell which isn't always noticable, then will allow the male to copulate. Afterwards the female will ovulate followed by the POS (post ovulation shed). That shed cycle is usually longer than normal.

well, good luck!

How long have you had her?

Please don't take it the wrong way when I say she appears overweight, its just that ovulations don't tend to look like that. I have seen an ovulation from a female that had 44 babies and it wasn't that big. She was 8ft.

again not sure if that helps but.

Thats what I was talking about. You can clearly see the difference between an ovulation and a prego-swell. Nice pics Josh.

holy smokes Josh that girl was Humungo! how many babies did she have? My gal that had 34 wasn't nearly that big looking (she was an 8'er).
