6 feet? 40 pounds?
Either that person has no idea what kind of snake they really have, or they're trying to pass it off as a ball python to someone who doesn't know any better. I've seen a few ads where people are trying to pass of a juvie boa or Burmese as a ball python. I guess they figure balls are easier to get rid off than larger snakes - but what a rude awakening for the ignorant person who buys the 'ball' thinking that's as big as it's going to get, and then ends up wit a 12 foot snake. I always worry what will happen to the snakes in those situations. |
I read somewhere that the record length is in between 6.5-7ft.

Wow! I would love to see pics of that? People are crazy, someone posted a while back on Delawares craiglist a rare leusistic python for $1,000 with a pic of a snow corn!!! LOL

I did not call. I've got a 7 ft dumeril that weighs in at 18 lbs and she is a fatty. I can't imagine what a 6 ft snake weighing 40 lbs would look like.
