American Toad, Or Fowlers Toad? You tell me :)
I found this guy under one of my fathers bonsai plant pots.
Dont really know what caused me to move the pot, but i just felt like it i suppose and there he was, all fat and cute. He didnt even put up a fuss when i picked him up, or pee either, which was pretty surprising :) Pretty docile little guy, and didnt mind me messing with him to get a few photos inside. Enjoy him! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ycle/Toad2.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ycle/Toad3.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ycle/Toad4.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...cycle/Toad.jpg |
American toad- fowler's have a solid color, unspotted ventral.

An easy way to tell the difference between the American toad and the Fowlers is to count the warts in the spots. :)
Fowlers will have 3-5 warts per spot. Bufo Americanus only has 1-2 warts per spot. Hope this helps. |
