Commercial Zoning and Such
I've been successfully breeding snakes for a few years now and want to take everything to the next level. Can anyone offer any kind of first hand experience on general rules/regulations surrounding breeding reptiles in a commercial setting? I've only ever bred them on my own property, but my plans will require significantly more space that what I can provide on my own land. Would it still be zoned as retail, even if I'm not open to the public? Any and all info on anything is appreciated.

You'd probably need to look for zoning that allows livestock or animals.

Every city, state, municipality, county has different zoning requirements. You also need to look at local laws. Will you be open to the public by appointment or just producing and then selling at shows, on-line, etc? If no public visitation at all, probably could be zoned warehouse, light industrial. In my city, any business with more than one visitor per day or five per week must be in an appropriately zoned area.
