The Condoning of Killing Harmless Snakes
I found this link quite by accident and read in horror how this news-letter described in the most lighthearted, cutesy of ways the senseless slaughter of a little water snake that was bothering their yard fountain. Then they described how they were going to set up the fountain for further snake elimination. The senseless reporting of misinformation and ignorance that was spread by this tiny little story and news-letter is astounding. I sent them an email stating as much - if you have a moment, you might want to as well. Either way, check out the story titled "saved by a snail!" - it so ridiculous and completely illustrates the rampant stupidity that we are all up against...

If you google it, you can get a pdf complete with pictures - the terrifying snake is lucky if its ten inches!
