Field Herping Around Sarasota/Florida

Pretty new to the Sarasota area. Does anyone have any suggestions on some good herping spots around the general area of Bradenton/Sarasota? I have seen some DOR corn snakes but that is about it. Anyone interested in herping with me in this area?

There are lots of places in SRQ to go. My wife used to read water meters and would find corns ALL the time in meter boxes, even the occasional coral. SHHHH, don't tell the neighbors though!

You might also try out around Myakka State Park, near the back entrance in Old Miakka. Any of the many, many drainage canals into the Phillipi Creek too!

Lots down by Oscar Scherer State Park in Osprey, and of course there are gators pretty much everywhere if you're feelin brave.
