Solomon Island ground vs. tree boa

Hello all.

I have been thinking of getting a Solomon island ground boa, I really love the look of the heads and that they don't grow super big. Also that they seem to have a great temperament. But I have notice that the tree boas look a lot alike. At least they do a the very few dealers that have them at local shows. So I"m not confident that they are all correctly labeled. :shrug01:

Is there an easy way to be sure if it's a ground boa?

Can anyone provide a good set of side by side photos please?

I own many solomon island ground boas and they are all have something in common that sets them aside from the tree boas. The ground boas have a zig zag stripe down the back of the snake. They come in an array of colors from light and dark tans, browns, and some reds. The solomon island tree boa has more of a diamond patterning on them, they also grow a little larger than the ground boas and usually more slender. Look up DM exotics on youtube, Dan has done a few videos on them. Hope this helps!
