help with identifying snake

Does anyone have an idea what kind of king snake and morph this is?
The guy i bought it from was selling it for a friend who said it was a black phase san luis potosi king snake.
But i don't have any papers on him and might plan to breed him in the future, so i just wanted to see if anyone could tell before i get a female.

He does indeed look like a very dark San Luis Potosi kingsnake (aka mexmex). He would be best bred to a female mexmex with similar coloration, to produce offspring that look like him. You could also breed him to a female mexmex whose coloration is different from his (light phase, granite) in order to produce a clutch with more variety.

Also, since you are looking to pair him up, I'll say that I have purchased this subspecies from BHB Reptiles in the past and was pleased with the health and appearance of the animals I received.

Beautiful San Luis Potosi! Definitely much darker than the norm

Thanks for the help guys! :)
I live in Sweden so i can't get a female from BHB,
but i could probably find one in Terraristika Hamm.

Whoops! Didn’t check your location. I’ve always wanted to go to the Hamm show. Have you been before?

Unfortunately i have not.
There's always a group of people who drive to the show from Sweden multiple times a year, and they offer to transport reptiles for you for like 30$ per animal.
I got the king snake delivered to me from Hamm last year. :)

The reptile hobby is pretty small in Sweden, so it's nice to be able to get more uncommon reptiles delivered to you from Germany.
It's also against the law to ship live animals here, so you usually have to drive pretty far in order to get the animals you really want.
