Help Iding this snake?
My pal just posted this snake and it is bothering me that I cannot find out what it is....lol. Crappy pics, but I am in the south east of PA. I tried googling native snakes, and tried matching up- but I know there are corns here ( found one last summer) but it doesn't list them...

That's a really bad photo. It's not a corn snake. Would she remember if it had keeled or smooth scales? If the scales were smooth it could be a milk snake, if the scales were keeled it could be a juvenile black rat snake.

Nick, I found the same photo! I think we have a match.
Noelle Edit: actually, same site, but I was thinking eastern milk. |

Could be a milk too!! It's kind of hard to figure out the head shape in the pic provided.

Ide say eastern milk :D

It's not an Eastern Milk Snake. It's a Northern Water Snake. Milk Snakes aren't that heavy-bodied.
Northern Water Snake I found in May: http://i265.photobucket.com/albums/i...ls/nwater1.jpg Third Eye Herp |
