Hissing cockroach cage?

Whats a good cage for hissers? I have mine in a 10 gal with a layontop lid, but I duck tape it down. So far though I've found 4 babies running around outside of the cage, so I'm guessing it isnt working. I dont really want to use a rubbermade tub for them

Roach escapees

You need to use some type of barrier around the top 2 inches or so of the glass. There are many kinds out there. Some people use vasaline, although I find that it melts and runs when it gets too warm, making a horrible mess. I have a one that I use called Super Slick Roach Barrier.

I would use both Vaseline + a lid over the enclosure. The nymphs can sometimes walk across a Vaseline barrier. I would have a lid with very fine holes for ventilation. I suggest using screen like for a window as part of the lid. They definitely need ventilation or the enclosure may develop into a perfect habitat for mold + fungus to flourish.
