is 2 enough?
 

so this year is my first time breeding bullsnakes. my question is: How many lock ups is enough to consider that good insemination has taken place?

i have seen 2, very rough, lock ups and im sure he has done his deed on other occasions that i didn't catch. is that enough?

What does ovulation look like? This is my first year breeding snakes.

It will look like you just fed her a big meal, but you didnt. Will last for about 3 days, then she will just continue to look like shes full of poo but will be eggs. Good luck!!

Will do. Thanks for the advice. After two of my Hognose females slugging out, I'm getting very worried about my season being a bust.

That stinks that the other one did slug out cause i guessed the right number. Oh well mabe next time.

Well I guess 2 was enough lol. I tried again but the female would flail like crazy when the male tried to mount her. 12 good eggs and looks like 1 slug or just small egg.
