Albino compatibility
So I know that white phase lavender phase and purple are all compatible. But when I see that an animal just says "het albino", or just "albino" with no descriptive word , is that a different strain of albino? Or would that still be compatible?

Sorry I forgot to include that I'm talking about reticulated pythons.

I would assume het purple. If it's het white or het lavender (so it could be white or purple) that's usually indicated.

Like this one here, just says het albino it doesn't specify anyting. Is that still compatible with lavender white or purple? Or is that a different strain of albino?https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...e1f1bb20e3.jpg

Lavender albinos have one purple and one white albino gene.

I understand all that. So if an animal just says albino with no other descriptive word that means it's purple?

Again, that would be my assumption. If it matters to your breeding plans then you will want to ask whether it's het purple or het white.

I got an answer. Thanks

Well - the White, Lavender, & Purple Albinos are all considered to by type 1 Albinos. They are compatible with the Mocha, and Caramels.
For example the mochino retics are het for type 1 Albino(white or purple), and het for Mocha. The two hets work together to form a visual het - the Mochino. Like wise - the Indo-Caramel hets can be paired with the Type 1 Albinos hets to form the Orangeglow. |
