How many reptiles do you own?
If zero, or you have something other than reptiles too, please tell us about your critters. ;)
I'll start. I have 20 snakes and 24 leopard geckos. I also have 10 hatchling corns and more corns and leos incubating. I also have breeder colonies of rodents, a couple cats, a dog and a fish. |
I keep 18 boas currently, including but not limited to 1.1 kahl albinos, 2.1 anerythirstics, 1.1 ihle salmons, 1.1 stripers, and the rest being "normal" colombians
and cant forget the 0.2 cats as well |
ps. i should aslo hit the 51-100 mark in a couple months as 2 of my big girls are quite gravid
|
I should have checked the 51-100 box too but I didn't count the hatchling corns...24 leos, plus 20 snakes plus 10 hatchlings is 54.
Plus, I have another clutch of 10 eggs and a few odds and ends incubating still. |
Sybella, where were you twenty years ago?
awww....well probably in school!....right? |
Yes...7th or 8th grade. LOL!!

I have a very nice collection of BCI's, several are morphs and will be on the A team this coming season and 1 really nice BCC Amazon Basin female! I have one more BCI female that should drop any day and she is looking good. Also very into Ball Pythons, with several hets and a Butterscotch Ghost male and a Pastel Male, along with many females! lol ! 4 Snow Corns, my favorite corn. I have 12 baby balls out of the egg, 15 eggs cooking, with hopefully a ghost or pastel making an appearance in about 3 weeks! There is a female calico cat named Cleo, a Blue Linx Point Siamese named Monroe, and 2 wonderful adopted dogs! I live by myself as my children are out on their own but there is never a dull moment around here! Nice to meet everyone so to say!

19 cats?!!? OMG!! LOL!!
|
bci=boa
i understood that syb, was just trying to clarify what EXACTLY he had :)
|
Oh, sorry...LOL!! I looked back and you did say, what kind of morphs. There I go, trying to be helpful and looking like a dummy. LOL!
|
19 cats? Hopefully there less of those on feeding day too? Hee hee
|
I have 12 burms (i have thinned the herd, no more medicating the RI guys). Some morphs in there. 5 bulldog boas, 2 retics, and an evil ass rock.
Small animals are also a passion of mine (small-animals.com if you want to see them) I can't talk about all those cats because I have 6 dogs hee hee ::sheepish:: Aussie, rott/husky mix, dobe/pit mix, 2 dalmations, and a doberman |
About the 19 cats.
I have 5 that are mine meaning I actually picked them out, etc. They range in age from 3-10 years old. The rest just showed up. One day about two years ago a very pregnant female showed up. She is not tame and she had 5 kittens. So now I have 1 not tame adult female and 5 not tame kittens. I finally got the female fixed (named her Spitter cuz that's what she did when I caught her and put her in the pet carrier. Bit the vet too I might add). I got her female kittens fixed too. So that makes 11 cats. Then another pregnant female shows up and has 4 kittens, again wild. I catch her and 2 or 3 of her babies and get them fixed. I'm spending all this cash getting these wild cats fixed so I can contain the problem and last summer ANOTHER one shows up and has 3 kittens (all males) then she disappears before I can get her fixed. What's funny is now all these cats are tame to me and all have names. If someone comes to my house, they all disappear and you wouldn't know I have all these cats. Well except for "mine" and their unmistakable litterbox odor, but that's another story. Karen |
LOL! That's funny but very admirable, Karen. My hat is off to you for fixing all those ferals. ;)
|
Wow Karen, that is really admirable! If only more people were willing to do as you have! High five!
|
here is what i have
15 leopard geckos 6 bearded dragons 2 nose be chamaleons 6 veil chameleons 2 jackson chameleons 8 leopard geckos eggs 57 veil eggs |
Those veils are prolific!! My gosh! LOL!
|
I have hundreds of snakes...all boids and hots. I couldn't even begin to list them all...
|
I think we're somewhere around 150 reptiles that we keep as "ours". With offspring produced this season, we're over 200.
|
If we were counting all animals, I'd be much higher.
Got 2 dogs, 2 parakeets 1.1 Breeder Corns 1.3 Lep Gecks 1.2 Ball Pythons 1.1 Rosy Boas plussssss 1.2 Swordtails 1.2 Salt and Pepper Platties (one female looks like she swallowed an ant-acid she is so full of babies. I gotta throw her into the maternity seperator) Then some other fish. I'd say altogether...30 with all this fish and whatnot. Do frozen animals count? What about crickets? LOL |
:) What kind of dogs?
|
One is a miniature poodle (we do not give him any spoofy haircuts).
The other is half Mini Poodle, Half Yorkish Terrier. There is a new official name for her, since her breed, and many other poodle mixes have become very popular due to size, and very nice looks. YORKY-POO! I know, add an s, and put my before yorky. "My-yorky-poos". I dunno why anybody would want to add "poo" into the name of a dog.. I'll try and get some pictures, to prove they are not spoofy fancy dogs. |
i have mainly alot of leopard geckos
1.1 golden hypo's 0.1 patternless 0.1 jungle 0.1 stripe 0.1 SHCT 0.1 pastel well, hopefully some females that were temp sexed still are females... i also own 0.1 bearded dragon (No intention on breeding this) 0.1 red belly turtle 1.0 yellow belly turtle. thats it for reptiles now, i plan on getting more leopard geckos though. i also own a some mammals too 2.0 cats (from rescues) 1.2 dogs (1 from a rescue) i also plan on getting a male ferret soon in yet another rescue. just to set the record straight before anyone implies, i dont do reptile rescue's. |
You want me to believe that you have THREE "poos" and you DON'T give them spoofy hair dos? Ahahahahaha.
Kidding :) |
I have a poodle too, without any spooooofyness. He is one cool dog, getting a bit old though...
|

Well over 25 now, picking up another snake on Sat and going to the White Plains show on Sunday to buy more. :) When dragon babies start to hatch out in the spring I should easily go over 200 counting hatchlings on hand that are being raised up or waiting to be sold. After I am done keeping my holdbacks and purchasing more dragons, purchasing more snakes, etc I should be near 100 permanent by the end of this year.
I'd say my 10 yr plan is at least 500. :) |
I have some

2 yellow labs, 1 sulcotta, 1 greek, 1 ninety gallon salt water tank and 2 24 gallon Nano Cubes both salt water and 2 cats. and a few squirrels livin in my walls that I cant seem to trap. John Brown City MI |
