LARGE FEMALE PANTHERS!
2 Attachment(s)
We were holding back a few female Ambilobie panthers sired by Truk but have decided at the last minute to take on other locales and could use the cage space. These girls are 5-6 months old and as you can see, come from premium blood lines. Breeding age is usually 6.5 - 7.5 months so they are getting very close. Eating full sized crickets and silkworms, this is a great opportunity to acquire some nice females nearly ready to breed.

Whoa you breed at 7 months?? Why not wait until they are full grown at a year?

Reptiles grow throughout their lives so I don't know how you can say that they are full grown at a year. We breed females when they are mature which means when they are producing eggs which can be as early as 6.5 months. Females have a lifespan of 1 1/2 - 2 years so they aren't "too young" at 7 months. A mature female that is ready to breed will turn pink indicating to the male that she is receptive. She will produce eggs whether or not she is bred. Id rather have a batch of fertile eggs than infertile so I breed when the female signals that she is ready rather than wait for an arbitrary date. Producing and laying eggs is risky so she might as well risk her life for fertile eggs rather than infertile eggs.
