Northern Utah

I've decided to do some herping this summer in Northern Utah. Has anybody had any luck finding reptiles so far north?

Yes. In the mountains in Logan, near Tony's Grove and High Creek, there are rubber boas, garters, and occasionally king snakes. I've only caught one king, but the rubber boas aren't too hard to find in the evening and the garters are pretty common.

I've seen some, although I keep only a few species of snake and can't really identify most of the lizards beyond a scant few. Though I haven't attempted to catch them, in late May and on through summer there are dozens of tiny little fast ones. They tend to prefer areas with lots of rocks warmed by the sun, with low groundcover nearby to run into when danger approaches.
