If you could have any reptile or amphibian in the world what would if be?

So if you could have any reptile or amphibian what would it be, you can pick more then one.

I would have to say a tuatara and a borneo earless monitor are on the top of the list for me.

Randall Turner 09-13-2016 02:42 AM

Chinese Alligators.

Reptiles 101 09-13-2016 01:25 PM

I like those to.

Lucille 09-13-2016 03:18 PM

Shinisaurus crocodilurus

Reptiles 101 09-13-2016 03:20 PM

Thoose would be 3rd on my list

Big Borg Reptiles 09-15-2016 01:48 AM

If I had the money, space, and time I would probably have a breeding pair of everything :p.

I think the one thing I can't legally have here in Spokane that I would love to get again would be false water cobras. They're not rare or expensive or anything, I just really liked the one I had.

Reptiles 101 09-15-2016 02:12 AM

Thoose are pretty cool, i saw some recently at a reptile show.

llmanbroskif 09-16-2016 09:43 PM

Black dragon

JButera 09-16-2016 10:13 PM

1.2.0 CB Varanus komodoensis.

Lora Ball 09-21-2016 11:17 PM

A black mamba snake.

elena 11-01-2016 03:45 PM

Chinese Giant Salamander

elena 11-01-2016 03:46 PM

I've seen pictures on orange ones.

dallashawks1 11-03-2016 11:43 AM

I don't think any of us will be getting one any time soon, appears to be on he Critically Endangered list, bummer for it:(:

Reptiles 101 11-03-2016 09:09 PM

That's why we should get to captive breed it:)

I remember seeing one for sale many moons ago. But it was for sale as a "food" item. :face_palm_02:

bcr229 11-03-2016 10:13 PM

Draco volans, though IIRC they don't do well in captivity. Bummer because I'd build up a floor to ceiling enclosure for them in a long room.

Reptiles 101 11-04-2016 01:23 AM

I like those too.

Herpin Man 11-06-2016 06:52 PM

I couldn't possibly narrow it down to just one species.
But, here are a few of my personal dream herps that, for one reason or another, I have never owned:
- Marbled newt
- Alpine newt
- Surinam toad
- Yellow-spotted River Turtle
- Borneo River turtle
- Radiated tortoise
- Blotched Blue Tongue skink
- Northern White lipped python
- Green Cat snake

I'd better just stop there.

Reptiles 101 11-07-2016 12:22 AM

That's a cool list I want the blotched BTS also.

clee36 11-11-2016 11:16 AM

im surprised no one else has said tuatara beside the OP. i would definitely want that.

SheffieldReptiles 12-05-2016 06:45 PM

Borneo earless monitor trio and a trio of shingleback skinks would be high on my list of things I'd like to be able to keep.

Dyscophus antongilii 12-05-2016 07:23 PM

Not necessarily in this particular order: 1) C.B. Varanus komodoensis, C.B. (I believe that is impossible, but, feel free to correct me) Conraua goliath (I know this is technically an amphibian, but still...I <3 them) and a C.B. Sphenodon punctatus punctatus.

Nobody said this list had to be realistic, correct! :dgrin: :D

Reptiles 101 12-05-2016 07:26 PM

This list keeps getting better!

Jarbear74 03-20-2017 01:40 PM

I would own and would like to try breeding Indigo snakes.

sschind 03-21-2017 12:08 AM

As long as we are going to list things like Komodo Dragons and Tuataras and other unrealistic things I'll go with a velociraptor. If we need to keep it living I'd go with the Chinese giant salamander as well although I don't really like that orange one at all.

On the more realistic side Centralian Blue tongues (might as well be unrealistic for me) , Naultinus elegans, caiman lizards, green tree monitors, Masobe geckos. All things I could have had in the past (except for the skinks) but I just can't justify spending the money. I'd also love a group of monkey tail skinks.

Oh, and Corroboree frogs. and molochs...and...

jameslindsey1990 03-25-2017 12:42 AM

Hoplocephalus bitorquatus

Cloppy 03-25-2017 09:28 PM

I would have to say a eastern milk snake. But they are illegal to keep where I live.

Robert strong 03-25-2017 10:16 PM

I just want to trade 2 baby Nile monitors for healthy male bearded dragon

Robert strong 03-25-2017 10:17 PM

Any takers on 2 baby Niles for adult male bearded dragon???

Robert strong 03-25-2017 10:20 PM

JimM 06-06-2017 01:48 PM

Black headed Bushmasters

ShrimpJuice03 09-12-2019 05:02 PM

Giant salamander and earless monitor

Flatfish1 09-12-2019 05:39 PM

Egyptian uromasyx, caiman lizard, black headed python. Saw the most beautiful black headed python sold on this site a week or so ago.

Shelbronia 10-09-2019 11:40 AM

I breed D. Maculatus flying draco lizards and the captive bred do way better in captivity then the wild caught.
