If you could have any reptile or amphibian in the world what would if be?
So if you could have any reptile or amphibian what would it be, you can pick more then one.
I would have to say a tuatara and a borneo earless monitor are on the top of the list for me. |
Chinese Alligators.
I like those to.
Shinisaurus crocodilurus
Thoose would be 3rd on my list
If I had the money, space, and time I would probably have a breeding pair of everything :p.
I think the one thing I can't legally have here in Spokane that I would love to get again would be false water cobras. They're not rare or expensive or anything, I just really liked the one I had. |
Thoose are pretty cool, i saw some recently at a reptile show.
Black dragon
1.2.0 CB Varanus komodoensis.

That's why we should get to captive breed it:)

Draco volans, though IIRC they don't do well in captivity. Bummer because I'd build up a floor to ceiling enclosure for them in a long room.
I like those too.
I couldn't possibly narrow it down to just one species.
But, here are a few of my personal dream herps that, for one reason or another, I have never owned: - Marbled newt - Alpine newt - Surinam toad - Yellow-spotted River Turtle - Borneo River turtle - Radiated tortoise - Blotched Blue Tongue skink - Northern White lipped python - Green Cat snake I'd better just stop there. |
That's a cool list I want the blotched BTS also.
im surprised no one else has said tuatara beside the OP. i would definitely want that.
Borneo earless monitor trio and a trio of shingleback skinks would be high on my list of things I'd like to be able to keep.
Not necessarily in this particular order: 1) C.B. Varanus komodoensis, C.B. (I believe that is impossible, but, feel free to correct me) Conraua goliath (I know this is technically an amphibian, but still...I <3 them) and a C.B. Sphenodon punctatus punctatus.
Nobody said this list had to be realistic, correct! :dgrin: :D |
This list keeps getting better!
I would own and would like to try breeding Indigo snakes.
As long as we are going to list things like Komodo Dragons and Tuataras and other unrealistic things I'll go with a velociraptor. If we need to keep it living I'd go with the Chinese giant salamander as well although I don't really like that orange one at all.
On the more realistic side Centralian Blue tongues (might as well be unrealistic for me) , Naultinus elegans, caiman lizards, green tree monitors, Masobe geckos. All things I could have had in the past (except for the skinks) but I just can't justify spending the money. I'd also love a group of monkey tail skinks. Oh, and Corroboree frogs. and molochs...and... |
Hoplocephalus bitorquatus
I would have to say a eastern milk snake. But they are illegal to keep where I live.
I just want to trade 2 baby Nile monitors for healthy male bearded dragon
Any takers on 2 baby Niles for adult male bearded dragon???
2 baby Nile monitors for healthy adult male beardie in Maryland.
Black headed Bushmasters
Giant salamander and earless monitor
Egyptian uromasyx, caiman lizard, black headed python. Saw the most beautiful black headed python sold on this site a week or so ago.
Abronia ochoterenai, though id be happy with any alligator lizard species!
