Hognose color question???
 
I found a hognose that is chocolate in color, solid color with no markings. Has anyone seen this color?

Are you sue it is a hognnose? It could be a new morph if it is a hognose. Doesn't like like one though.

I remember seeign something very similar to your hog. It was labeled as Eastern Hognose. Try doing a search on google for eastern hognose pics.

That is an Eastern hog... That color form is not uncommon... You should let it go... If you are unable to identify it as an Eastern hog, you are most likely unable to care for it and it will die... Even some of the more experienced keepers have a hard time keeping them alive in captivity...

i have seen a dark hog like that in the wild before, but it was in north florida. I also think that you should let it go. Buy a nice pretty captive bred hog if you want one.
