He was on the edge, but the free shipping sealed the deal I'm sure.
Thanks for sharing Justin. |
Been getting emails from "him" as well.
Anytime someone asks me for my "final price", and then willingly adds an additional $50.00 to it for no apparent reason, all signs point to "Scam". Yeah he contacted me about purchasing an animal today wanting to use the exact same payment "method". Obvious Scammer set-up, but this is good information for those not familiar with payment scams like this. Definitely a scammer.
|
I've also received the same.

He tried with me too. Got him to send a check, sent 2750 for a 1200 dollar snake. Now he's assured me, without doubt, that the check cleared and would I please send him his extra 1500 back. I told him to come here and I'll give him the cash...along with his birthday present!
Then, just this morning, he sent me a new email, asking if the animal is still available, and that he would send me an extra 50 if I took the listing down and saved it for him - just like his first email. He's probably in Nigeria, judging by certain flags I see in his communications. But he doe's have a US cell number, which is unusual for these crooks to expose. Sure wish he'd come here to collect his money! |

It's a dead end for sure, just wish the authorities would do something about these crooks |
Greg Johnson
Just had to deal with scammer today! Asking for final price and willing to add $50 for holding animals.
|
He says he'll add 50, but with me he added 1500, hoping I'd send him the money when his fake check bounced. It appeared to be a bank check, but
it's a fraud. |
When I saw this thread I just had to add what I have experienced and found out regarding whole thing. Not only do you have to watch out for the name Greg Johnson but there is at least another name Wilson Gran being used and I can only assume even more yet unknown ones. I got the same email question from both senders, "Still up for sale? get back to me with the final price", just yesterday. So I became very suspicious and did a little ISP research on the email address for "each person" only to discover they both have the exact same ISP address. So both emails came through the same computer/router and one can assume both are one and the same person. I sent a little note back to "each" one of them with the attached email trail report showing the deed. Not gotten a response back and don't expect one. If you know where to look, depending on your email program you can find the detailed report of the path of the email along with all the identifying information. To make it easy, here is the ISP for these scamming emails. ISP#- 209.85.220.65 Also note that if someone has more than one router in their home or office the ISP#'s will be almost the same except for the last numbers. I also got an email today from "another person" with the ISP# 209.85.220.41 it maybe also the same person just a different router at same location though can't prove that. But the first 2 I gave with the same number is the same person one in the same. So hope this helps you all and be cautious it is amazing the extent folks will go for a scam.
Regards, Steven |
Additional Info
Forgot to mention one thing. This same ISP address of 209.85.220.65 is using multiple gmail accounts. The ones I got from the same ISP# were Greg Johnson (nvirbiseems@gmail.com) and Wilson Gran (wg3138015@gmail.com). Sellers please be aware.

I got an PM from him today asking if my animal still available when I just posted it (right there red warning for me) then asking me to communicate on his email (2nd red warning). we have Fauna PM for a reason so we do not have to disclose our private emails. This so call Greg smelled like a scam from a mile away. Glad he was banned.

He Must Be on a Roll Today
Got one myself now after many weeks and nothing. Asked about some turtles so thought what the hell. Used Greg Johnson email: wert8hvhhlll@gmail.com again.
He asked "still up for sale?" My reply was "Yes they are still up for sale. They are $379,000 each but if you want both will do a good deal for only $758,000. Plus free 3 day shipping." |
I just logged on and had 4 messages from him... all exactly the same, clearly a scam watch out!
|
Just got an email from him this morning
|
Really glad someone posted here with his email address. I got the same message this weekend, saying "Am paying by cashier's check, I'll add $50 for keeping it in my favor." Googled the wert8hvhhll@gmail.com address, and this popped right up. Thanks everyone!

I new It was a scam from the get go . Last year I had a check sent to me for 1700 dollars way over the asking price. I gave the check to the Postal Inspection service . Jeff the Postal Inspector said this goes on all the time and it was most likely a Nigerian scammer living in the U.S.Last night he e mailed me on two of my adds. I told him I only do Western Union money orders or Postal Money orders. And he was obviously not going to use Pay Pal. This Greg Johnson wanted my address so I gave him my parents address in Sun Lakes AZ. I called my dad up to let him know that if it comes in the mail to your house and its not a money order just through it in the trash can.

some comments Ed |
If you read the whole thread and the few others on this guy and his scam to sellers on here, you will get it. I was simply being facetious regarding the price to and for him and the way of shipping. Because no matter what you tell him he agrees with you with the same responses regardless.

how is it that the check came priority mail from Express scripts? Can a scammer use a fake return address on something like this?
It would be great if the scammer was using their real work address and we could tell Express scripts and get the jerk arrested. Sigh. Probably a fake return address. |
he is trying again under another name..here..
Still up for sale?please get back to me via my email and the final price wert8hvhhlll@gmail.com |
Just wanted to have some fun so looked up the M & T Bank address on the check you got from this scammer. Found that Amherst, NY is a suburb of Buffalo but the zip code given for Amherst is for Rochester, NY. What an idiot this guy is. The Express Scripts, Inc address given is a private home on the NE side of Indianapolis not Express Scripts' real location on the SW side not far from the airport. The payer written on the check is Seashell Painting in Milton, DE an actual real business again unaware their name is being used in this scam. Just thought would share FYI.
