I agree with the others. Unless you are using some ridiculously expensive substrate, it isn't worth reusing. Even if it was, I doubt that spot cleaning and baking would sufficiently refresh it.

I am unaware of allergies to snake saliva, particularly species specific. It seems unlikely to me, but who knows. More likely is that there is bacteria from the snakes mouth causing the reaction....
