My personal experience has been that reintroducing the male is not always necessary in order to keep fertile eggs coming, but sometimes it helps. The issue with doing that is that the sperm retention time becomes longer, and it can draw out her laying season too long. Sometimes I will put the male back with the female after a week of separation, but not after they are already laying. I would say you should be fine for the season, unless, of course, you get infertile eggs.
