Great article! Love the idea of treating the deadly symptoms of the venom without risk of anaphylactic shock with antivenin. Convenience and durability in these new drugs sounds very promising with their goal of a field cure and cost effective for the developing countries.
I hope all this research pans out to saving many lives at much lower manufacturing prices then the traditional methods. I wonder if they will need more variants of the anticholinesterases for different snakes. It appears neostigmine should be on the shelves of all exotic snake hobbyists. Hopefully the research and drug trials advance faster then the currently appear.
