All but one of my cages are natural light, from windows during the day. Of course UV is filtered. One of my screen cages with 1.1 in it has a 25wat UV compact bulb. The first 3 days it was on the cage, the cresteds went to the top leafs and basked and slept. I think the UV did help them out, and they did enjoy it.. but it has been done without the lights for so long, its up to you.
