What makes it a HYPO

Hello all, I am new to king snakes, but have been raising snakes for many years, so I know this is a newbie question. Sorry.

I just bought this beautiful baby girl this past weekend at a local reptile show in northeastern MD. It was sold to me as a Hypo brooks. What does the hypo mean in this case?

Makes no difference to me as I love the coloration and pattern, just curious. I saw several other patterns such as ghost, florida, and california kings that were noted as being hypo. So I'm confused.

I also attached a picture of my columbian rainbow and pinstriped ball python just for fun.
