Social media seems to be the new way to drive prices in different directions, but why haven't green anaconda prices come back down to a rational / sane amount?
A few years ago these were $200-$300 a piece and you could get them for less in prior years. The greens are no special morph, no hets, no genetic differences, are readily available; and have large clutches. They spiked in the recent 2 years and just keep going up for no apparent reason. I'm seeing
$1600+ now on a green!?
I know if I was breeding them i'd put them back at $300 and just take the profit cut. Why gauge people for an animal that isn't genetically worth more than that.
This feels like the "pet rock" craze in the 70's.
