Anniella pulchra pulchra

Here're a pic of Lenny, my California legless lizard. I've had "him" (I have no idea what sex it actually is) for a little over two months now. He's feeding well on small mealworms, waxworms, with the occaisional grub or caterpillar from my yard. I've got him housed in a small tank (probably a 1.5 gal) with a couple inches of fine grained sand on the bottom. He's got a clay saucer for a water bowl, I've never seen him drink but the water goes through the clay and keeps the soil bellow the bowl moist. He likes to hang out under the bowl. I'm using him for educational presentaions I give on native reptiles. He was a big hit at the last one I did, so I hope he continues to do well.
