Just another case of giving power to otherwise powerless (and useless) people and it goes to their heads.

I too would never live in a neighborhood with any sort of "association" involved. I don't want a bunch of busy bodies telling me what to do on my own property. If they want to buy it, pay all the expenses, and then let me live here for free, well, that's a different story. THEN they can have a say.
