Although I've never kept 5-lined I have kept western skinks in 10 gallons and they did well. If they're like the westerns, they can be quite agressive so I'd limit it to a trio at the most, don't house males together, and give them lots of little hides so they can have their individual space. I've never kept them for more than a month or two, I'm not sure how important UV is, but I suspect that they'd benefit from it.
